Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, accessing, or using SpeakFlow, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you use SpeakFlow on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these terms for that organization.

2. The SpeakFlow service

SpeakFlow is a language-learning application that helps you improve text, create personalized exercises, and practice speaking. Features may include guided lessons, Free Talk, speech recognition, profile memory, AI-generated feedback, and subscription-only capabilities.

We may improve, add, remove, or change features over time. We do not guarantee that every feature will always be available on every device, platform, language, or region.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required to consent to digital services in your country. If local law requires permission from a parent or guardian, you may use SpeakFlow only with that permission.

SpeakFlow may create an anonymous technical account for you. You are responsible for maintaining control of your device and for activity performed through your account. You must not attempt to access another person's account or interfere with the service.

4. Free access and SpeakFlow Pro

SpeakFlow may provide limited free access. SpeakFlow Pro provides premium access, which may include unlimited guided lessons, unlimited Free Talk, advanced personalization, and future coaching features. The precise benefits shown in the app at the time of purchase form part of your offer.

We may change free usage limits or the features included in future subscription periods. Changes do not remove access you have already paid for during the current billing period, except where required for security, legal compliance, or service integrity.

5. Billing, cancellation, and refunds

• Billing. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, not directly by SpeakFlow. Store-localized prices and taxes may vary by country.
• Cancellation. You can manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple or Google account settings. Deleting SpeakFlow or deleting your SpeakFlow account does not automatically cancel a subscription.
• Access after cancellation. Unless the store states otherwise, Pro access normally continues until the end of the paid billing period.
• Refunds. Refund requests are handled by the store where you purchased the subscription and are subject to that store's rules and applicable consumer law.
• Trials and offers. If a free trial or introductory offer is available, its duration and the price charged afterward will be displayed before purchase. Cancel before the deadline shown by the store to avoid renewal charges.

6. AI-generated content

SpeakFlow uses artificial intelligence to improve learner responses, generate exercises, and provide language feedback. AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, repetitive, or inappropriate for your specific situation. It is provided for educational practice and should not be treated as professional, legal, medical, financial, or other expert advice.

You remain responsible for reviewing AI output before relying on, publishing, or sharing it. Do not submit highly sensitive information that is unnecessary for language practice.

7. Your content

You retain your rights in the text and other content you submit. You give us a limited, worldwide permission to host, process, reproduce, and transform that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve SpeakFlow and provide the features you request. This permission ends when the relevant content is deleted, except for limited backups, legal obligations, and processor-held records described in our Privacy Policy.

You confirm that you have the right to submit your content and that doing so does not violate another person's rights or applicable law.

8. Acceptable use

You must not use SpeakFlow to:

• break the law or encourage illegal, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive activity;
• infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
• upload malware or attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or bypass the service;
• reverse engineer or copy the service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• automate access, resell access, or use the service to build a competing dataset or model without written permission; or
• misrepresent AI-generated output as verified professional advice.

9. Intellectual property

SpeakFlow, its design, software, branding, and original content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable right to use the app for its intended purpose. They do not transfer ownership of SpeakFlow or its technology to you.

10. Account deletion and suspension

You can permanently delete your SpeakFlow account and associated learning data through the app settings. Account deletion is separate from subscription cancellation.

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, investigate misuse, comply with law, or enforce these terms. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

11. Third-party services

SpeakFlow depends on services provided by Apple, Google, Firebase, OpenAI, RevenueCat, Amplitude, and others. Their own terms may apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control, including app-store billing decisions, device speech recognition, network availability, or service outages.

12. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, SpeakFlow is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for a particular learning outcome. Language progress varies, and use of SpeakFlow does not guarantee fluency, test results, employment outcomes, or any other specific result.

Nothing in these terms excludes warranties, remedies, or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded in your country.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from your use of SpeakFlow. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited only to the extent the law permits. These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot legally be limited, including mandatory consumer protections.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as SpeakFlow changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a material change requires it. Continuing to use SpeakFlow after updated terms take effect means you accept them, except where applicable law requires another form of consent.

15. Applicable law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of SpeakFlow, without depriving you of mandatory consumer protections available where you live. Any dispute must be brought before a court with jurisdiction under applicable law.
